About My Books
I strive to write literary fiction. You won't find a universal definition for this genre of fiction, but here's how I define it.
Stories in the literary fiction genre contain thought-provoking plots and characters with depth and complexity that challenge readers as to their own values and beliefs.
I got somewhat of a late start writing books--I published my first one at the age of sixty-two. In some ways, that's a good thing for a novelist because you have so much more life experience when you're older, therefore that much more material to pull from. I'm glad I waited--it's made retirement (of sorts) a wonderful time of my life.
I Have a Favor to Ask
Authors rely on word-of-mouth advertising, so if you decide to read one of my books, please take a moment afterward to write a brief review on Amazon and/or Goodreads. And not just my books--do it for any book you read. We authors greatly appreciate it.
"If only I could read."
