The person who deserves most pity is a lonesome one on a rainy day who doesn't know how to read.
As an author, I LOVE participating in book club discussions about my books.
Who Benefits More?
The readers get the opportunity to meet the author, voice their opinion about the author's work, and ask questions about the story line, characters, and the book writing process. But the author becomes a better writer having listened to their feedback and questions. And of course it's always a nice boost to the old ego when people sing your praises.
Whether You're Near or Far
I am available to attend book club discussions in person if they are reasonably close to me. I have attended ones in downtown Chicago where I live and as far north as Gurnee, IL. For book clubs farther away, I can attend by phone or Skype.

Just Shoot Me An E-Mail
So if your book club chooses one of my books and would like for me to participate in the discussion, please shoot me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'll see if we can make a connection.
